    Fractions

    Kinds of Fractions

    1. Similar Fractions | Liked Fractions - These are fractions with the same denominators. Example \( \frac{2}{3}, \frac{1}{3}, \frac{5}{3}\).
    2. Dissimilar Fractions are fractions with different denominators. Example \( \frac{2}{7}, \frac{1}{2}, \frac{5}{3}\).
    3. Unit Fraction is a fraction with a numerator equal to 1. Example \( \frac{1}{3}, \frac{1}{5}, \frac{1}{16}\).
    4. Proper Fraction is a fraction whose numerator is less than the numerator. Example \( \frac{2}{3}, \frac{4}{5}, \frac{9}{10}\).
    5. Improper Fraction is the opposite proper fractions. The numerator is greater than the denominator. Example \( \frac{12}{5}, \frac{9}{2}, \frac{11}{10}\).
    6. Mixed Fraction is a combination of a whole number and a fraction. Example \( 1 \frac{2}{3}, 8\frac{1}{4}, 16\frac{2}{3}\).
    7. Equivalent Fractions are fractions with different denominator and numerator but with same value. Example \( \frac{2}{3} \: and \: \frac{4}{6}\) are equivalent fractions.
