List down all possible values of the constant k so that $$3x^2 -2kx + 2 = 0$$

Solution:

• To two equal roots the discriminant must be equal to zero.

• $$b^2 - 4ac = 0$$

• $$(-2k)^2 -4(3)(2) = 0$$

• $$k^2 = 6$$

• $$k = \pm \sqrt{6}$$
