LET Coverage 2026: Subjects, Percentages, Passing Grade and Free PDF Reviewers

Updated:

The Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, commonly called the LET or LEPT, covers General Education, Professional Education and, depending on the applicant’s degree and level, a specialization subject.

This guide explains what Elementary and Secondary examinees need to review, the commonly used subject allocation, the passing grade, current curriculum alignment and where to download free LET reviewer PDFs.

Current alignment: PRC and CHED implemented curriculum-alignment changes beginning with the September 2025 LEPT and succeeding schedules. Applicants from programs such as Special Needs Education, Early Childhood Education, Physical Education, Culture and Arts Education, Technology and Livelihood Education and Technical-Vocational Teacher Education may have specialization requirements that differ from older LET outlines.

LET Coverage Overview

The subjects an applicant takes depend on the education level, degree program and specialization recognized under the current PRC-CHED alignment.

Applicant Group Subjects Generally Taken
BEEd applicants General Education and Professional Education
BSNEd, BECEd and aligned elementary programs General Education, Professional Education and the applicable specialization
Secondary-level applicants General Education, Professional Education and specialization
BPEd, BCAEd, BTLEd, BTVTEd and other aligned programs General Education, Professional Education and the specialization prescribed for the applicant’s curriculum
Do not rely only on an old specialization list. PRC’s curriculum-alignment guidelines now distinguish between current and old curricula and identify which specialization subject each applicant must take.

LET Passing Grade

To pass the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, an examinee must obtain:

  • An average rating of at least 75 percent; and
  • No rating below 50 percent in any test.
Both conditions must be met. A high average does not compensate for a test rating below 50 percent.

General LET Application Requirements

Common documentary requirements include:

  • PSA-issued birth certificate;
  • PSA marriage certificate or contract for married female applicants, when applicable;
  • Transcript of Records with scanned picture and the required board-examination remarks;
  • Documents showing the degree, curriculum and professional-education units applicable to the applicant’s category;
  • Personal appearance for first-time applicants when required by current PRC guidelines; and
  • Payment of the applicable examination fee.
Important: Applicants from aligned or non-standard teacher-education programs may need technical evaluation of their Transcript of Records. Follow the latest PRC-CHED alignment guidelines and instructions from the appropriate PRC Regional Office.

How to Review for the LET

1. Confirm the exact subjects you will take

Before reviewing, identify whether your degree requires only General Education and Professional Education or also an aligned specialization.

2. Use the subject allocation to divide your time

Elementary BEEd examinees should give more study time to Professional Education. Secondary examinees should balance Professional Education and specialization while maintaining regular General Education practice.

3. Answer questions before reading explanations

Attempt each item first, then study why the correct answer is best and why the other choices are weaker.

4. Keep separate error lists

Track mistakes under General Education, Professional Education and specialization. This makes it easier to see which subject is reducing your practice-test score.

5. Practice classroom situations

Professional Education questions frequently ask for the most appropriate teacher response. Apply principles of learner development, assessment, inclusion, ethics and classroom management.

6. Use PDF reviewers strategically

Download only the reviewers that match your actual subjects. Complete one set at a time and review every incorrect answer before moving to another file.
